Where it trips our checks

• Substantiated reports: the reader who flagged this paid 785 dollars total, including a 180-dollar "FedEx receiver fee" demanded after the order, then got only excuses ("workers already unpacked it," "waiting on a Trinidad order") and no tracking. A separate Reddit account describes the identical refundable-fee script. Inventing a post-payment fee is a pattern we see repeatedly in bad actors.
• Contact transparency: an anonymous handle whose profile photo looks AI-generated but was passed off as real; it blocked the buyer after a refund request.
• Irreversible payment: bitcoin only, so there is no chargeback once the excuses start.
• Purchase protection: no refund route; the buyer was blocked when asking.
